As far as rec center go, Boulder’s are among the best in the country. I spend most of my time at the North Boulder facility. My two year old son goes to open swimming with my husband every weekend. They have a large heated kiddie pool full of waterfalls, slides and even a basketball hoop. It’s always full of parents any day of the week. We registered him for a few of the swim classes they offer for toddlers, but they moved too slow to keep his attention. I also attended a dance class with him and that was a lot of fun. I want to sign him up for the gymnastics classes, but I’ve been told unless you’re willing to bribe someone, be prepared to spend several seasons on the wait list before you can get a spot.
