Iron Works Fitness is a convenient gym for those that live in north Boulder. However they have recently raised their rates to $49 a month which is a bit steep for what they offer. What is unique about Ironworks is that you get 24 hour card key access and they do not normally have staff present. However its lacking in equipment compared to other Boulder fitness clubs such 24 Hour Fitness and the YMCA which happen to be cheaper too. The club is nicely laid out with a Cardio Room, a fitness machine room, and a dumbell free weight room. However they don’t do not have any traditional free weights like bench presses which I find odd.

I think Ironworks is just ok if you live right around the corner and want something with a lot of flexibility, however I might recommend going over to the YMCA if you want more at a lower price.
