Get a “Rush” at Boulder’s Newest Smoothie Shop

This is a great new place to grab a smoothie in North Boulder. The owners have run a similar shop on the hill for some time. Rush opened a little over a month ago and offers close to 50 varieties of smoothies. What makes Rush unique is their smoothies are all natural and have about 1/3 the calories of Jamba Juice. They’re able to do that by using non fat frozen yogurt and frozen soy. They are famous for their Acai bowls that have the consistency of soft serve ice cream and are served with Granola on top. The prices run from $4.75 to $5.50 and there is only size. My son and I usually split one. The Acai bowls are $6.25. Pricey, but if you’re into all natural this is the place to go! Rush also has a full coffee bar if you prefer an espresso over a smoothie. They also offer free WIFI so its also a great place to get something done.

Rush offers a great variety of quality smoothies and bowls, and their coffee drinks and tea are good too! Avoid the after school rush if you can. Love the acai!! I’m hoping this place will thrive and be around for a long time. As an established resident of the neighborhood, I still miss the business that originally turned this location into a coffee shop–”The Other Place”, which was a nice simple place to get a decent affordable espresso drink and read the newspaper quietly. Life goes on….

I’m a BIG fan of Rush! Their Chai Mystique is amazing, and I recommend it with Soy Milk instead of Skim (you can also have them add a touch of Mate Tea for a boost of energy). It’s a great grab and go for breakfast!
Other favorites are the Lemonade based smoothies - they’re not as heavy and are perfect for a hot afternoon. I’m so glad to have them uptown now!

Rush is the best place to come to North Boulder. Coda orangic coffee is the best. Bowls are fantastic!!

i swim varsity at boulder high and these guys sponsored us and they are sooooo amazing. definitely check them out sometime. i swam a personal best after drinking ‘caught in the rain’. giv em a shot!
